Our Story
Thank you for wanting to know more about our story. I’m Katy, a mom, an entrepreneur, a certified aromatherapist, trained natural perfumer, working in the healthcare industry and I am the co-founder of Maréfleur by Essence & Sérénité®. In 2021, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I launched with my son, Maréfleur by Essence & Sérénité®, a small family wellness brand based in Burlington, Massachusetts that offers natural high-quality Aromatherapy products to inspire a scented lifestyle that nurtures wellness and growth.

As a busy mom running a small enterprise and managing household chores, I often felt overwhelmed. I searched for a solution to de-stress and found unexpected relief at a local gym. As soon as I stepped inside, I was enveloped by a gentle, sweet ocean scent that immediately relaxed me and transported me back to my childhood memories of Jacmel, a coastal town in my home country, Haiti where I used to vacation with my family. I was surprised that a scent could be so powerful, and thus, my journey in aromatherapy began.
I wanted to replicate this state of relaxation at home. I was pleasantly surprised that the diffused essential oil scents created a calm ambiance and helped me engage more meaningfully in self-reflection and my everyday activities. Essence et Sérénité was born from that experience. We rebranded to Maréfleur by Essence & Sérénité® to reflect the state of blossoming that comes from that.

Our diverse range of products includes essential oil singles, carefully crafted essential oil blends, natural oil diffusers, and soothing candles.
